I would like to control the visibility of my navigation menu items in the frontend by adding a custom checkbox in the backend that will controll the visibility of the menu items on the frontend:

This is how it should work:
checkbox checked: Menu item is visible in the frontend navigation
checkbox unchecked: menu item is hidden in the frontend navigation

this is how it should look like in the backend: Screenshot

Could this be done with the metabox.io plugin? And if so, which MB module can I use to accomplish this?

    Hi,

The Meta Box plugin has not supported adding a custom field to control menu items yet. I’m going to add it to the to-do list for the future development of the plugin.

You can use the plugin If Menu to control menu items for now https://wordpress.org/plugins/if-menu/.

    Hi Long,

That would be great! The if-menu plugin is great as well but I need just a simple checkbox to be added to the backend menu. So I can leave all menu itmes in the backend and make them visible or hide them with the checkbox on the frontend.

I hope the feature of adding custom fields to the menu items will be live soon.

    Thanks!
