    Hi Tran

I’m trying to modify the default date format to d-m-yy (individually, for each custom date field, though I’d be interested in how to change default for all), and I can’t figure it out. For each custom date field > Advanced > ‘Date Picker Options’, I’ve tried the following:

    key: dateFormat
    value: d-mm-yy

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

    Sam

P.S., I tried to reference the following info: http://api.jqueryui.com/datepicker/#option-dateFormat

Doesn’t work. Output remains Y-mm-dd (ie., 2019-05-19). Could there be any settings preventing this?

    Thank you,
    Sam

Can you send me a screenshot of the advanced tab? And the code that output the field value?

Hi Sam, I couldn’t replicate this bug. I see you’re using BB, so I made a video on BB: http://recordit.co/EIh8PjykQ3. It seems to working fine on my localhost.

Can you check the value in the database (using PHPMyAdmin or similar tool)? Just to make sure the value is saved in the correct dd-mm-yy format.

Tran – Still not working, but this time I also made a video. It will show that it’s not saving properly to the database. Should I contact Beaver Builder? Also, if you can make this private, i will give you an admin login if that would work.

    Here’s the video

    Thanks,
    Sam

Tran – I figured it out. I have a plugin that is pulling in API info, and within it it was setting the date and essentially overwriting it the meta field each time.

However, I wouldn’t mind your input on how to format for today’s date as 3/7/19. I’m using d/m/y and it’s coming up 03/07/19.

    Thank you regardless!

    Hi Sam,

It’s great that you found the cause!

Regarding the d/m/y issue, I’ve tried and the format works correctly for me: https://screenshots.firefox.com/xuhedGKETcDuMvDC/localhost. Perhaps the same problem with the other plugin?
