    Hi,

I have assigned a custom taxonomy to post types. It is there in the admin area. Great!

But it’s not there in the front end.

I tried adding the custom field taxonomy. It shows now in the front end, but in the admin area there are two fields for the same taxonomy.
I noticed that the taxonomy assigned to the post type drives the archive lists, the one entered as custom field does not.

Question: how to get the taxonomy assigned to the post type available for input in the front end?

    Hi,

You can add a field taxonomy for the post type with custom taxonomy as the select value. Then show it on the front end with MB Frontend Submission. Please see my screen record to make sense https://www.loom.com/share/e61df0cb7afd4fb3bd6165f94896529a.

You are exactly describing what I did. And also in your case you end up with the taxonomy appearing twice in the admin area. That’s exactly my point: to have it in the frontend, you have it twice in the backend. Is there a way to have it just once in the backend?

When you create/edit the taxonomy, please uncheck the option Show on edit page? to remove the custom taxonomy meta box, see my screenshot https://share.getcloudapp.com/7KumgOP8.

    Thanks, that worked.

In general: I want to express my appreciation about your very quick and solid responses.
    Much appreciated!
