There is an error in your code. Use semi-colon in the last then check it.

The std settings is applied per sub-field. Please set std for each sub-field of the group.

That means I can not add pre-defined group values, But it is required for me(list item with sortable).

    I’ve edited some code meta-box-group/class-rwmb-group-field.php
Now default group value is saved.

That’s so great, Razib. I’ve just added that to the latest version 1.2.18 (along with other fixes as well).

I still was unable to render std values in my groups. I have created another pull request with a modification I made. Please check it out when you get a chance.

    Thanks!

    Hi Joe,

Thanks for your contribution. Your code respect the std in child field, so it’s good. However, it fails with Razib code above. I have commented on your PR. Please update it so I can merge.

Thanks. I believe I may need to get some more background on how the current functionality is setup as I don’t believe I’m fully understanding how the root std field is meant to work.

I am mainly trying to get the std field within the child fields to work for every instance of the group object (initial and clones).

I will continue conversation on this within the merge request, unless you’d rather it be continued here.

    Thanks!

    Let’s discuss there as it’s very code-specific.
