Support Meta Box Group Removing last cloneable group

Is it possible to make a single group in a clonable set of groups removable? I’d like the UI to be cleaner such that if there’s no items of a certain type for a post it simply is empty with a button to add one, instead of empty fields. Likewise if I need to remove an entry I can remove all of them except the last one, at which point the end user needs to erase all the data.

    Hi,

I’d like the UI to be cleaner such that if there are no items of a certain type for a post, it simply is empty with a button to add one, instead of empty fields

I think you can use the extension Meta Box Conditional Logic to show fields if it has a condition to show.
    https://metabox.io/plugins/meta-box-conditional-logic/

I need to remove an entry I can remove all of them except the last one, at which point the end-user needs to erase all the data

Thanks for your idea, I’m going to create a feature request to support a button to remove all cloneable fields and keep the last one.

I can see that being useful but not entirely what I was after. ACF actually does this pretty well, you can erase all the clones so there’s 0 on screen and it only has a button to add a row, so if there’s 0 of something there’s also 0 visible rows in the backend. It seems in MB.IO there’s always one clone minimum visible. So the request would be the ability to just have 0 fields visible except a button to add clones as needed, and once that’s possible we’d be able to remove the final row in a set the same way we can remove the rest.

Thanks for the feedback, I will note all ideas into the request and assign to the developer team to improve the cloneable field.

    Have a good day.
