During the launch of the new UI for creating custom fields a few months ago, we’re thrilled to have received so much attention and valuable feedback on the UI/UX of MB Builder 5.0.0 version. After reviewing and refining based on your suggestions, today we’re excited to announce that MB Builder 5.0.0 Beta is now ready for download and testing!
What’s New in MB Builder 5.0.0 Beta?
We are still based on the principle of UI improvement: native feel, modern interface, and optimized performance. The well-received features from the Alpha version have been retained. Let’s see the changes in this version in detail.
Left-Side Panels
One of the most noticeable changes is that the settings panel is moved to the left side instead of the right as in the previous version.
As a result, all your actions (adding a field, managing structure, setting field/field group) naturally shift focus to the left. The better focus and page builder experience will help optimize your workflow.
As you may know, we neatly organized the settings of the field and field group into separate tabs. In this new version, they’re open by default. Thus, you don’t have to click to show the detail setting in each tab.
Inline Label Editing
You’re no longer limited to editing field labels only from the settings panel.
Now, you can simply click on a label right in the live preview and start typing. Then, your changes will instantly sync with both the settings panel and the structure panel.
This brings a smoother, more intuitive workflow, especially when you're fine-tuning complex field structures.
A small touch that makes a big difference in productivity.
Optimized Performance
The performance in this version has significantly improved compared to the previous release.
We have thoroughly tested it with over 50 fields, including various field types, nested groups, and complex settings. There is no lag when you drag and drop, reorder fields, or perform any operations with field groups.
Everything runs smoothly and instantly, helping you maintain your workflow without interruption.
Moreover, we’ve also fixed several issues that users reported in the previous version.
