WordPress has been around for some time and it’s preferred for site building from most editors and webmasters. Its simple-to-use nature has never sacrificed its usability and that’s why the vast majority of bloggers out there love so much this platform.
One reason for that is an endless list of plugins that you can use in order to form your website as you want. However, in this article, we are going to focus on the best WordPress plugins that you can use for Lead Generation.
But first of all, let’s define what Lead Generation is…
As a lead you could consider every individual or organization with an interest in your product or service; thus Lead Generation is the process of acquiring Leads with your Marketing Campaigns.
It is important to note that to qualify someone as a lead he must have shared with you some information which usually is his contact details.
Unless you are using a page builder like Elementor or Beaver Builder then adding opt-in forms to your website should be pretty easy by using plugins like the ones that I am gonna suggest in this article.
So here are the best plugins in WordPress that will help you capture as much information as you can from your readers and create a ton of leads.
GetSiteControl is one of my favorites as it is a plugin that will provide you with more than just some pop-up forms. Instead, GetSiteControl lets you up your lead generation game with its chat, share and survey buttons as well as a ton of other features.
What I really love about GetSiteControl is that it offers a free version that should be just fine for most of the small businesses out there.
However, a paid version does exist (which costs 19$) if you want to take the interaction with your readers to the next level.
Leadpages is AWESOME.
This tool will help you tremendously grow your leads list with the variety of options that it offers. Of course, it offers Opt-in boxes to capture your reader’s contact info but this is something pretty basic.
Where Leadpages shines is the rest of the features it offers that won’t just create your pipeline but it will push your leads deeper in it.
For example, you can use this tool to create landing pages automatically, host webinars or even host videos for free courses.
While there are no forever-free it’s pricing is reasonable and it offers a 14 days trial period.
Bloom is a plugin offered by ElegantThemes and it’s another opt-in form plugin. But it has its own unique features that make it stand out from the rest of the competition and they come in handy when we talk about lead generation.
Bloom lets you choose between 6 display settings that you can use as lead magnets. (Pop-Up, Fly-In, Below Post, In-Line, Locked Content and Widget).
You just have to use your creativeness to leverage the power of all these different settings.
Of course, it couldn’t miss from this list. OptinMonster is a very powerful tool for rapid lead generation list growth.
Its pre-built templates are perfect for every starter out there. Besides its top features which are no other from the exit intent pop-ups OptinMonster also offers on-site retargeting features.
If you consider that you can use this in a combination with you retargeting transactional emails later you will find out that you can build a very powerful list building strategy to capture more leads!
These automations can personalize the experience for each one of your visitors and really help you with capturing more leads for your pipeline.
Sumo is another famous powerful tool that will help you generate leads out of thin air.
With this plugin, you can increase your website traffic, get more subscribers for your email list, increase your social shares and find out which is the most engaging content within your blog.
You can also use Sumo in a clever way to integrate it with an email marketing software to send personalized emails. Awesome right?
Sumo will offer you all the standard types of forms like popups, scroll boxes, smart bars, welcome overlays, and inline forms.
What I’ve found really interesting in this tool are the templates that you can choose to start with and in the long term add your own touch since they are customizable.
This is a worth-to-try tool mainly because of the free plan that it offers. Of course, this plan has limitations over the pro plan which costs 30$/month but given the fact that you don’t have to pay for a decent amount of features this is a risk-free and safe solution.
You can start with that and decide later if you want to spend some extra money on this particular lead generation plugin.
6. Hello Bar
Simple, Easy-to-use and intuitive.
These are the words that should describe this cute tool.
If you are a starter you should not wonder which of all this leadgen tools you should pick because the Hello Bar offers a great interface with a visual editor that will let you, easily create messages for your visitors.
Even if you are an experienced WordPress user and you are asking yourself why you should pick this one over the others then the answer is that you interfere less with the experience of your users.
Also, it has to be mentioned that the Hello Bar provides A/B split testing services as well as targeting services that if used properly they can have a huge impact on your lead generation and conversion efforts.
The Hello Bar tool has a free forever starter pack but if you want access to its full spectrum you’ll have to pay 29$/month for the Growth pack or 99$/month for the Elite pack.
The truth is that every tool that was presented above has its own unique features and the choice between them is hard. I can’t recommend one over another simply because this is a subjective matter.
What I can suggest though is that before choosing to go with one tool you’ll have to give it a try first and find out if the variety of features is enough or deficient for your needs.
And with that said, good luck with your first list building strategy.
